The artist cleverly Mixes bronze casts made out of found objects (boxes, flat screen televisions etc.) with painting. The review is generally favorable, as she analyzes and carefully describes Grotjahn's work in detail and interprets the human body having a special connection to the anatomy of his pieces ("Mr. Grotjahn has cut three apertures into each, suggesting the lopsided mouths and eyes of previous canvases. He has also affixed them with one, and sometimes two, cardboard tubes (also bronze) where noses or male genitalia might be.").
Now, I'm also going to post a link to a judgmental review made by the same critic on figurative Painter Lisa Yuskavage's solo show at the David Zwirner Gallery, which was held back in April.

It's not VERY recent, but I thought it was worth looking at, because it seems kind of "negative" compared to her review of Mark Grotjahn's work. What do you guys think?
